Driving SensaTec now and it's not as comfortable in the summer but definitely more durable. There is a very noticeable difference in the softness of the material. SensaTec plastic seats are common in almost all BMWs produced today unless a premium is paid for genuine leather or the model of BMW is high up in the chain. Sensatec is the standard leather in most low-end BMW vehicles. It would be nice to have a black and white answer on this but it seems everybody has a very different take on each material. I could care less about your opinions and dont disagree with some of your opinions in the past but question the reasoning to constantly add sexist man up comments to any feature you find unnecessary for a luxury vehicle and deem them as effeminate??? I had a X5 loaner with Sensatec and it felt like vinyl and very out of place in a vehicle like the X5. the X3M40, so it must be preferred by others than me and considered "premium enough" by some.
